Holiday blues…Back on track

The last month has been a busy one, summer holidays and having to work on through has meant my time has been pretty much filled to the brim….and then there were the family holidays away!!

Time away over indulging and spending quality time with your family is what holidays are about, and going away twice within a month has not done my waist line any favours. Why am I telling you this? Because I am human, because I do the same things as the rest of you when I go on holiday, and because I understand how hard it is getting back on track again post holiday.

That first gym session back was a struggle, realising that my hard work pre holiday, to feel as great as possible in a bikini had been almost completely undone. Did I cry? There is nothing worse than your clothes feeling a little tight, and right now, my jeans are pinching a little, but it doesn’t matter, I would do it all again in exactly the same way because I truly believe when you work hard day in and day out, you should get to relax and enjoy your time off.

So for now, my plan of action has been drinking my bodyweight in water, hitting the gym hard, and weening myself off the delights of all inclusive. It feels good to be getting back on track, its never easy, but it will be worth it!

Here is the quote: ‘An hour workout is 4% of your day, no excuses.’ Now, I personally find this quite motivating, I think it puts into perspective just how much time…

Sleepy head…

Are you getting enough sleep?  If you aren’t then you could be holding onto those extra pounds that you have been trying so desperately to shift.  The problem we have when we are sleep deprived, is the stress that comes with it.  Feeling tired and having to cope with children, a heavy workload or daily…
